| About me |
I am an American Citizen with a Multi-Ethnicity background of Caucasian and Hawaiian. I have a very strong interest on pursuing a Kindergarten teaching position in South Korea so I can continue to contribute helping young learners succeed in a healthy learning environment. Having experiences gained abroad and in the United States I have a diverse background with much to offer with a college degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology also a 120 hr. International TEFL Certification. I’ve served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in The Federated States of Micronesia on the Island of Yap; I taught Kindergarten for the Yap Head Start program and also served as a teacher trainer for Early Childhood Education teachers. I have also taught English for a private Bilingual school in Phuket, Thailand for Kindergarten students. Managing the difference of abilities among my students proved a difficult, but satisfying, challenge. I tailored activities to maintain the interest high-level students without intimidating less skilled English speakers. It is my goal to combine my range of experience with my ability to prepare students by helping them reach their goals and for me to continue on being a caring, energetic, enthusiastic, and intelligent teacher who will make a positive contribution to your selected learning institute. I would welcome an interview and hope to hear from you at your earliest convenience.
